Apex Ground Breaking: A Blue Print for Success

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Founding Families, we would like to invite you to be our guest at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Apex Community School on Sunday, October 15, 2017.   Everyone is welcome! 

The Groundbreaking will include a brief ceremony beginning at 5:30 pm.  We inivite your to gather for pictures and to partake in child friendly activites at 5:00 pm.

he Apex Groundbreaking Ceremony will take place on our property at 2830 Distant Rock Ave. in Castle Rock, CO, just west of Castle Rock Adventist Hospital on Meadows Parkway and across the street from the Taft House & Pool

We are excited to officially break ground on Phase I of Apex Community School.  Not only are we are eager to add to the quality educational choices already available in Douglas County and maintain the collaborative partnership we enjoy with the District board and staff, but become a community hub as well. Our desire is that Apex Community School will become a place that is a connecting point for the families and businesses that make up the fabric of this neighborhood, town and District.   Community is in our name for a reason

Join us for this Groundbreaking Celebration as we partake in the ceremonial "turning of the dirt" and take this first step toward opening the doors of Apex Community School.

Activities Include:

  • Touch a Truck
  • Large Dirt Pile for Kids
  • Construct an Apex Momento
  • Construct a Cupcake
  • Constructing Memories
  • Time Capsule

At the Groundbreaking, we will begin to collect items for an Apex Time Capsule, to be buried during our first year of opening.  We are starting the collection of contributions at the Groundbreaking and will maintain the time capsule open for contributions for families that attend Apex during its first year of opening. 

Please bring a single item to contribute to the Time Capsule which:

  • represents "family," "school" or the Castle Rock "community" to you
  • can fit in a small baby food jar
